After (Design Concepts)

This family have a side yard that is a bit of a forgotten mishmash. It has a tree house, a chicken coop, and some other forgotten items that don’t have a home. Much of their back garden is given over to entertaining, children playing, growing food, and a dog run, so there wasn’t much space left over for relaxing.
They wanted to transform their side yard, without losing the tree house, as a place for the two homeowners to relax. They wanted a tucked-away spot that was easy to look after and allowed them to both monitor the kids in the tree house, but also see into the back yard so they weren’t totally cut off.
The border of their property is a large concrete wall that is the back of a restaurant, and is covered in a climbing hydrangea that will remain in place. The chicken coop will be donated to a friend.
