After (Selected Concept)
The design concept they selected recommended connecting the boundary of the 3 window wells to enclose the space between them, which will be filled with different sizes of stone. The window wells themselves will be decorated with cement orbs & planted with Aegopodium podagraria (aka: Bishop’s Weed) to enhance the view from inside.
The largest span between the window wells will have a basalt fountain providing the peaceful sound of water that can be heard along the walk, and from the open windows above.
The planting space against the fence will soften the whole area with shade-tolerant plants, and the fence above will have uplights to feature a metal hanging screen. Additionally, container plantings will be added for additional interest against the house and on the small back patio.

From the Clients
“I wanted to take this opportunity to say ‘Thank You’ for everything you have done for us to make our ‘pathway project’ so successful.
We were really struggling with this one because it seemed like such a hard space to work with and you came to our rescue.
Wow and did you ever! We had no idea what we were in for when we asked you to come over and help us. Your ideas and presentation to us of what the final outcome could look like actually blew us away. I especially like that you have the software program to show us options of what it could look like before we even start. This helped us have a ‘vision’ of what we really wanted to achieve … then came the name of all the plants. Thank goodness for this part … nothing is more painful than going to the garden center, looking at all those tags and trying to figure out what goes where … you did all that for us and even explained in detail how to take care of everything. Where have you been all of our ‘gardening lives’?!
We will be starting our side project this fall so we will be in touch for phase II.
Thanks again for everything … WE LOVE IT!!!!”
