After (Design Concepts)

This young and growing family wanted to redesign their back and side garden spaces to work better for activities with their kids, entertaining friends, and surrounding themselves with year-round beauty & color. On top of that, they wanted increased privacy from adjacent neighbors. Their recently renovated house had a dark color exterior which makes a great backdrop for plants, including the bright colors they wanted in the garden. The plant palette relies on low-maintenance, drought-tolerant perennials.
I gave them options for the side yard that include some lawn that they wanted for throwing a ball, for growing some fruit, and for adding some protection for a large window well with a glass enclosure.
The options for the back garden include spaces for playing, dining and lounging.
